For sale is a lovely pendant featuring a historically significant ancient coin. This pendant showcases a Tetradrachm from the reign of Trajanus Decius (249-251), minted in Antioch, Seleucis and Pieria, Syria.

 

On the obverse side of the coin, you will find a detailed depiction of a laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Trajanus Decius facing right. The inscriptions AYT K M€ KY ДЄКІОС TPAIANOC CB adorn the obverse.

 

The reverse side of the coin features a standing eagle on a palm branch, holding a wreath in its beak and with its wings spread wide. The inscriptions AHMAPX €E OYCIAC / S C can be seen on this side.

 

This coin pendant is beautifully toned, showcasing a nice patina. It is in good very fine condition, and it weighs approximately 10.54 grams, with a diameter of 24 mm.
