Caracalla, 198-217. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.33 g, 7 h), Rome, 206. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG Laureate head of Caracalla to right. Rev. VOTA SOLVT DEC COS III Caracalla, veiled and togate, standing front, head to left, sacrificing out of patera held in his right hand over tripod at his feet to left, and holding scepter in his left; at base of tripod, sacrificial animal. BMC 578. Cohen 682. RIC 204. Minor edge cracks, otherwise, good very fine.
