History:

Plautilla, born in AD 185, was the daughter of Plautianus, a trusted officer of Septimius Severus. In AD 202, she ascended to the esteemed position of Augusta, alongside her husband and co-ruler, Caracalla. However, their marriage was brief, cut short by Caracalla's decision to have Plautilla exiled and executed in AD 205.

Though her reign was marred by tragedy, Plautilla remains an important figure in Roman history. Her coinage serves as a testament to her brief but significant role in the empire's narrative, capturing the elegance and prosperity of her era.
