History :

The coin : Achaemenid Empire, specifically during the time of King Darius II who ruled from 424 to 405 BC. The coin is called a Siglos and was minted in Sardis. On the obverse side of the coin, there is an image of the Persian king in a kneeling-running stance, facing to the right. The king is depicted holding a spear and a bow, with a quiver over his shoulder. The reverse side of the coin features an incuse rectangular punch.
