For sale on our website is a beautiful pendant featuring a genuine Roman Empire Bronze Follis coin. This coin dates back to the reign of Emperor Licinius I (AD 308-324) and was minted in Alexandria between AD 321-4. The front of the coin showcases a radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the emperor facing right. On the reverse, Jupiter, the Roman god of the sky and thunder, is depicted standing left, holding Victory on a globe and a scepter. At Jupiter's feet to the left, an eagle stands with a wreath in its beak. To the right, a bound captive is seen seated, with their head turned left. The coin is approximately 20mm in diameter and weighs 2.49g.
The pendant itself is made of sterling silver (925) and serves as a stunning display for this historic piece of Roman coinage.
