Silver drachm minted during the reign of Alexander the Great, who was the King of Macedonia from 336 to 323 BC. The obverse (front) of the coin features the head of Herakles wearing a lion skin, which was a popular motif as Herakles was considered a hero with great strength. 
On the reverse (back) of the coin, you can see an image of Zeus seated to the left holding an eagle and scepter. The inscription reads "ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ," which is Greek for "Alexander." Zeus was the king of the gods in Greek mythology and was often associated with power and authority.
